The way they want,
The way they are.
A dinosaur T-shirt + pink tutu + boots in the middle of summer might have never been your first choice. Or your second. In fact, not even a choice at all. But it was theirs. Their clothes aren’t just clothes; they’re identity, play, instinct. ‘Let Them’ is about giving the little ones the space to start making their own choices and finding their voice. Because there’s no ‘right’ way of dressing – only their way. View collection

Self-expression as
a step towards
independence.
Allowing children to choose their own clothes from the age of three helps to strengthen both their independence and sense of self. Getting dressed isn’t just a routine – it’s one of their first conscious decisions, a reflection of who they are.

Experts, such as child psychologist Laura Benedetti, emphasise that this freedom builds children’s confidence and reinforces their sense of control. Sociologist James Whitmore also notes that respecting their choices – within reasonable boundaries – reduces conflict and encourages independence. It’s not just clothing; it’s their voice in the world. Find out more in our study. Download PDF

Let them mix and match. Let them wear what they want. Heading out in snorkel goggles – just in case they stumble across a swimming pool on the way to school. Playing with textures, colours and shapes. Letting them pair a superhero cape with their smartest outfit – not because they want to dress as a superhero, but simply because it looks brilliant. Flip- flops might be perfect for a summer day, or just as right for a rainy winter morning.
What matters is letting them choose. Letting their clothes reflect who they are. Children don’t pick their clothes and shoes based on style rules, matching colours or trends. They choose what they feel. Their clothes aren’t just clothes; they’re identity, play, instinct. Getting dressed is their first big decision. And when we let them do it, we give them more than just freedom: we give them a voice. Because there’s no ‘right’ way of dressing – only their way.
With ‘Let Them’ we want to highlight a new way of understanding parenting – one that always embraces the path to self-expression and independence. Giving them space for creativity and imagination. Finding ways to walk alongside them, through every step, every stumble and every leap forward. Letting children be children. But more importantly, letting them be whoever they want to be.
